Den filmen utspelar sig till största delen i en tillbakablick till 1960-talet. Mest för konventionens skull gifter sig Jakob med Lisa, men de har ingen aning om hur de ska förhålla sig till varandra, vare sig känslomässigt eller sexuellt. Redan på bröllopsnatten möter Jakob en främmande man som inte har någon osäkerhet kring sin sexualitet och ett förhållande uppstår mellan de två männen. Mitt emellan de två står den unga kvinnan och ett problematiskt triangeldrama är faktum.
