Godly Boyish (2004)

Through his own death, a boy dreams of living forever happy and never alone. He finds another boy who wants to do the same. Part daydream, part night-terror, the film finds the boys obsessed with each other, waiting for their moment of grace, their ascent to all things golden and pure.

I like this film in spite of its melancholic theme... perhaps it's the style of filming that I liked.
